For months, the World Chiropractic Alliance has worked behind the scenes laying the groundwork for a massive campaign that, hopefully, will result in the issuance of a United States postal stamp commemorating B.J. Palmer and the chiropractic profession.

We’ve done this for several reasons. First of all, we feel it is long past time for B.J. to be officially recognized for his contribution to health care. Chiropractic is the third leading form of health care in the world -- topped only by medicine and dentistry. And, while medicine is losing patients (in more ways than one), chiropractic is continuing to grow at an incredible pace.

We also did this in order to provide a positive issue around which all segments of the profession can gather in harmony and unity. This effort transcends political rhetoric and differences in philosophy and technique. It is something we can ALL agree upon, and work together to accomplish. It can be part of a "healing process" for chiropractic.
