Philosophy is important to doctors of chiropractic, but it's often
difficult to explain to patients. That's why more than a decade ago World
Chiropractic Alliance President Dr. Terry A. Rondberg wrote and produced a
set of 10 "Green Booklets" which condensed and simplified the
most important elements of chiropractic philosophy.
The booklets covered all the major philosophical topics in an
easy-to-read, interesting manner that didn't talk down to patients, many
of whom had been exposed to general chiropractic ideas.
"I wanted to be able to present this vital information to patients
who may be ready for more advanced understanding of the concepts guiding
this profession," Dr. Rondberg noted. "By breaking it down into
10 booklets, I was able to present the information in 'bite-sized' pieces
so all patients could grasp them."
The booklets were sold to doctors for distribution to patients and
supplies were quickly exhausted. Rondberg recently decided to reissue them
in electronic format so doctors can download and print them in their own
offices.
"I've seen a resurgence of interest in basic chiropractic
philosophy recently, and more and more doctors want to educate their
patients in the fundamental precepts of chiropractic," Rondberg
explained. "Being able to use the Internet to distribute these
documents ensures that the information will reach as many people around
the world as possible."
The booklets are available in two formats: as a single Adobe Acrobat
".pdf" file that can be downloaded and printed, or as individual
webpages that can be printed directly from the website.
